Do you ship your cakes?
YES! We ship all of our products nationwide for Southern treats at your fingertips.  Each cake is wrapped and placed in one of our decorative red tins.  In warmer months it is shipped in a specially designed cooler with dry ice.  Don't get caught without one in your freezer!

How much does a cake cost?
Each cake is $36 plus shipping.

What size are your mail order layer cakes and how many do they serve?
Our mail order layer cakes are 9" round.  Each cake serves 14-20 people.  Remember when ordering, the more servings the smaller the slice.

How soon can I receive my cake?
We ship our cakes in TWO business days because they are perishable.  Orders received before 3pm EST will be shipped that day (with the exception of the holiday season.)

How many cakes can I ship at a time?
In the warmer months you may ship up to three in one box and the rest of the year you may ship up to eight in one box.

Can I ship a cake in the summer?
OF COURSE! During the warmer months we ship our cakes and perishable products with dry ice to keep them fresh just for you.

What is dry ice? What happens to it when it's shipped?
Dry Ice is a gas and it's used to keep the cakes frozen and will evaporate during shipment.   WARNING: Dry Ice cannot be touched because it will burn your skin.

What do I do with my cake once I receive it?
If you are serving it immediately, unwrap the cake and leave it on your counter or your favorite cake plate.  Caroline's Cakes can be kept on the counter unwrapped for up to a week.  If you are saving it for a later date it can kept in the freezer for up to six months (3 months for chocolate cakes.)

How long will my cake last?
Caroline's Cakes will last up to one week on the counter.  They can be frozen and refrozen for up to six months.  Specialty cakes and cupcakes can be refrigerated for up to one week.

Are there nut products in your cakes?
No.  Nut products are not used in our bakery.

Do you make wedding cakes?
Yes! Choose from an expansive collection of the latest designs, flavors and accessories! Call ahead to schedule a complimentary tasting.

Do you make specialty cakes and cupcakes? Can I ship them?
Yes.  Caroline's Cakes offers some of the most unique specialty cakes and cupcakes found in the area.  Stop by our retail location to place an order (3 days advance notice required.)
Unfortunately we can't ship specialty cakes and cupcakes, but we deliver locally.

How can I be added to your mailing list or receive a brochure? Why do you need my email?
To be included in our exclusive mailing list for special promotions and events email customerservice@carolinescakes.com and give us your information.  Every so often we send our customers notice of upcoming events, shows and special promotions! P.S.  our lists are private!

Do you have a retail location? What are you hours?
Yes!! Save on shipping and stop by 1580 Whitehall Road in Annapolis, Maryland for our signature cakes, specialty products and fabulous party favors and gift items.  We can't wait to see you.  Business hours are Monday-Saturday 8:30-7:30 pm and Sunday 8:30-5 pm (call ahead because someone is usually here very early and very late.)
