Did you know that a peanut allergy is the most common cause of food related death (AAFA) and that more than 3 million people in the United States report being allergic to peanuts, tree nuts or both. (AAAAI) Caroline’s Cakes is an established nut-free bakery and has been recognized by the Food Allergy Initiative in 1998. All products and cakes that contain nuts are made and stored in a separate facility.
Although the US Government does not currently have official regulations for whether a business is “nut free”, we have implemented a code of standards and restrictions on our kitchen to establish a nut free environment. This includes a strict policy of “NO-NUTS ALLOWED” in our bakery for employees and allergen-free statements from our ingredient vendors.
